BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, The Ohio State University

Alsedeaq received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular genetics at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, During his time at OSU he performed research in Dr. Mark Seegers lab characterizing the commissureless gene in Drosophila. He joined the Tesar lab as a lab technician wanting to expand his knowledge of the research process and learn about glia and neurobiology. His future plans include attending medical school with an interest in surgery. Out of the lab Alsedeaq enjoys cooking, spending time with his four siblings, and making tea.
